I started a new series of whimsical space themed art. I love how the bright colors pop against the dark background. The first space painting I did is called “Space Jam” it’s a 24x30 jam packed with planets, stars, and nebula, spaceships, and color and texture.  Lots of layers and alive with swirls and splatters in space lol… not just a boring black sky.  Then I did a 24x24 which I titled ‘Abduction”.  It’s a very illustrative piece which tells a tale of hungry treat stealing (and spaceship stealing) bears surprising some picnicking stargazers and displacing some aliens.  I also just finished a small 11x14  “Dogs in Space” …which is inspiring me to do a couple larger dog & space themed paintings.  I am enjoying this extra terrestrial adventure.  These latest pieces will be debuting in mid May at Mayfest in Chicago.  More deep space art to come!
