Spring has finally arrived in my neck of the woods and the animals are out and about - roaming, chirping and singing.  We are surrounded by forest however if you walk the path from my yard into the trees you come upon a clearing. There was once a treehouse  high up in a big scraggly old oak and kids laughing, climbing, and playing but now it’s just a peaceful quiet space where the sun shines down despite the shade of the towering trees. This painting depicts that special place.  ‘In the Clearing” 24x30
